Hi. I'm here. Mostly alive.
Haven't been sleeping well for the last 3 weeks, for various reasons, much of my own causing, but not all. I've reconnected with an old best friend. I was hoping it'd go farther, but probably not. That's ok, I'll take what I can get. I'm just kind of hanging out enjoying being single again. It's...alright. Bleh.
Work starts Monday. Whatever...I just hit the point of almost NEEDING money, so it's perfect timing. I am going to really wish just being a wanderer in the world whenever I want though. Dang it.
Speaking of work, I checked my work e-mail and found that I (along with a group of others from the park) had won some big krazy award and recognition thing, beating out all other parks for this category. It's for safety and something something blah blah recognition. A good group of people were selected (for the most part), and it was neat (in a weird sort of way) to see that the Superintendent will be travelling to D.C. to accept this thing on our behalf. It went service wide, as I got an e-mail from an old friend in a southern park giving me congratulations. Dang. Not like it'll get me a real job so I can be a growed up park person...but whatever, it's kool I guess...no extra money involved...haha. Just a trip for the super...awesome. It does boost my ego, and at least makes me feel like I've done a LITTLE something....
The wedding went well...I met new friends...and the weekend flew by, starting Thursday ending late (bar close) Saturday. Oh yes, celebrate being young my friend...that's what I'm doing, until the season goes into full swing.
I still have to pack the rest of my stuff from the old apartment by June 1st...sweet. Not.
June 2nd the new DMB album is being released! They've been releasing songs that have been played at concerts like krazy...and I've been good and waited. I just heard the first one, cuz I NEEDED a new taste of music.
Been back out on photo adventures...I'll post some in the new album in a few weeks here.
Everyone around me has the flu...I'm avoiding it like PigMonkey Pox...haha!
Off to watch some gut ripping, head sawing scary movie...

Major Determination
I'm in a wedding this weekend. I'm the maid of honor in said wedding (please, hold the you're going to be in a dress comments). Because I am best friend of bride, sister pretty much, I agreed to this when we were in high school, and she held me to it...haha.
With this said.......
I am NEVER going to have a big wedding of any sort.
....never....
....ever...
I'm too lazy.
And like money too much.
And my sanity.
And sleep.
I told my mother (much to her shagrin) that I was getting married on a beach in Hawaiian shorts (to show off my tattoos of course...haha!) and t-shirts with witty sayings on them (to make me laugh when things get seious of course...), barefoot (of course). Lots of good music and food (that people will bring, mind you) and just a KICK ASS, cheap, easy time.
I will be my own DJ, officiant, photographer, and wedding planner...
and all will not cause me a headache for 3 months before the event.
That's it.
It'll be fun, very much so. I can't wait til we're sitting at the reception having fun.... :-D

Yes?
I really want to write a blues song. I think I have a basis...for sure. I think it'd be great. Just the lyrics, someone else (if they're ever *really* bored) can put music to it. I've been toying with lyrics for a long time, had most of a song, and then gave up. I think blues might be the way (right now at least)....watch in the next couple weeks! :-)

I've realized lately that I'm a self respecting, self learning, selfless, and loving, trusting, adventuring friend and woman who is true to who I am, willing to work through my problems, and have great friends and family that are the same and will be by my side throughout anything...anything.
For this I am thankful, for this I share lyrics and pretty soon, more photography. It's been a tough ride, it's not even close to being over, but I've learned so much...about myself, about the (false) person I thought I was in love with, and about what I NEVER want in my own life, and anybody I care for...friends, families, or partners. It all means so much, some amazing, most terrible and evil.
All of it is part of me now, and I know I will find someone who is deserving of a friend, a large heart and soul, a truthful and loving personality, and someone who will love me for me...until then, I continue on with this ride called life...for what it's all worth.
